King George VI

The health of the beloved King George V of Great Britain wains in 1935 as the country looks toward the heir, Edward VII, to prepare for the throne. His younger brother, George VI, fears for Edward’s future as he is secretly in love with the divorced American actress, Wallis Simpson. She will never be accepted as Queen by Parliament and the Public. The timid and short tempered George VI (nicknamed Bertie by his close family and known for his debilitating stutter) must decide whether to confront his older brother about his lover for the betterment of the country. All the while the gears of war start to spin, as Nazi Germany prepares to plunge Europe into chaos.
